Description:
Specific cover-up requirements for substations and overhead and underground distribution. The primary objective of the Distribution Cover-Up course is for participants to learn how cover-up should be utilized to achieve insulation and isolation for worker and system protection on voltages up to 44 kV. To achieve this objective, participants must understand:
- Fundamentals of cover-up, including applicable regulations, minimum approach distances, selection, inspection, installation and removal.
- The impact of cultural and organizational influences on cover-up practices and effectiveness.
- Specific cover-up requirements for substations and overhead and underground distribution.
